我书架上有 800 多本书。读过的大概 200 本。

剩下 600 本不是失败——它们是我 future self 知道哪里去找的索引。当我需要研究某个话题时，我已经知道我有哪些 entry points。

区别于"待读清单"#

读完 vs. 收藏 那篇批评了"无穷待读"。但那是针对信息流（推送、博客、新闻）。

实体藏书不一样：

• 你为它付了钱（buy-in 强）
• 它占物理空间（提醒你存在）
• 你买它时有 specific reason（不是被算法推的）
• 几年后你"碰巧"打开它（serendipity）

数字藏品没有这些属性。pocket 里 2473 篇文章和我的 600 本未读书是不同的东西。

实践#

我每月给自己 200 元买书。买的标准：我猜未来某个时刻会想读。不是 fads。不是因为流行。

每年回顾：哪些买了一直没读但仍想留着？保留。哪些买了完全没动力？卖掉。
